  How Does R2R Work?

The key to your Resort Home now opens doors to exclusive homes in six countries, letting you exchange the use of your Resort Home for luxury accommodation in the most sought-after destinations.

Your Member Services Representatives are ready to assist you with making your Membership work for you, to answer any questions and to help you plan your vacation.

For your convenience, contact Member Services by e-mail or by telephone 1-800-955-2692. Member Services is available by telephone from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5 pm PST.

Welcome to Resort to Resort!

There are two ways to get started with Resort to Resort. Once you have activated your membership and advised us of the size of your unit, simply wait for another member to request your resort. We will contact you by telephone or email to see if you are interested in making that time available to anther member, i.e. “deposit”. Deposits may only be made in 5 or 7 night increments.

  • 5-night deposits generally begin on a Sunday night.
  • 7-night deposits generally begin on a Sunday or a Friday night.
  • In Les Arcs, deposits must be 7 nights and start on a Saturday.

To determine which periods you may deposit, simply contact Member Services. Based on past usage by members and weeks already in the inventory, Member Services will determine if you may deposit that week. Once usage of a Resort Home has been deposited with Resort to Resort, the deposited period of occupancy is made available to other Members. Once you deposit a week you needn’t worry about whether or not it is used – once you assign that week to R2R it is irrevocable and those credits are yours to keep! You can generally deposit a period of owner usage 6 months before the check-in date; occasionally we will take shorter term deposits - please ask! To deposit a year or more ahead of time, please contact us! We will then require you to fax in a deposit form. We need your signature so there is no confusion with double-bookings.

Earning Resort Credits

You earn Resort Credits each time you make deposit. The number of Resort Credits you earn depends on four factors:

  • demand for the resort in which you own your resort home,
  • the number of bedrooms in your resort home,
  • the season in which you make your deposit,
  • the length of the deposit ( 5 or 7 nights)

Please keep in mind, the deposit you make will be enjoyed by another member, so consider that when you decide on dates!

Resort Credits are valid for 24 months after the date they are deposited into your Member account, and may be used to reserve any accommodation available for occupancy within that 24-month period, whether it's a luxury townhome in Whistler or a condominium in the spectacular beach and golf resort of Sandestin. Ask Member Services for an Account Statement of you are unsure of your expiry dates! info@resort2resort.com or 1-800-955-2692.

Searching for an Exchange

Whether or not you have credits in your account, you may request accommodation in any of the resorts included in the Resort to Resort network. Or “start a search.” Members may request 5- or 7-night vacations. Remember, 5-night vacations begin on a Sunday, and 7-night vacations begin on either Friday or Sunday. Please be ready to book if you start a search! Once we find a week we cannot return it to the owner who deposited it. Depending on the dates you are requesting, you may be asked to fax in a binding form indicating that your exchange will be confirmed immediately after it is found.  If another Member has already deposited the inventory you are requesting and it has not already been reserved, your request may be confirmed right away. Otherwise, Resort to Resort will immediately begin searching for a Member who is willing to deposit their resort home during the period that matches your request by calling and emailing all the members at your chosen resort. Once a match has been found for your request, Member Services will confirm your reservation.

As an active member these are the fees that will apply to you:

  1. Housekeeping charge: You are responsible for the one time cleaning charge at check-out for the time you deposit to Resort to Resort. When you travel to other resorts the owner of the property you stay at will be responsible for your housecleaning.
  2. Reservation Fee: When you confirm a reservation there is a nightly reservation fee of $29USD per night when you travel domestically and $39USD per night when you travel internationally (based on your home address). This is only charged after we find the accommodations you request and we confirm your reservation.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Member Services by phone at 1-800-955-2692 or via email at info@resort2resort.com.
